Beauty Corporation GmbH was founded in 2009 by Oliver Bock with the support of his wife, Renate. Our initial focus was on helping Germany-based manufacturers of high quality cosmetics products expand beyond their current markets with maximum efficiency and minimal risk.

 

We later expanded our spectrum of services to include the import of high quality cosmetics products into the EU. For this we support premium manufacturers in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia in their efforts to tap the EU as a sales market, with the German-speaking member states serving as the principal target markets.

 

In the years since it was founded, Beauty Corporation GmbH has helped negotiate around 30 licenses for its clients, with a combined value of more than EUR 20 million.

Oliver Bock

Oliver was born in the German city of Nuremburg and grew up close to the outward-looking port city of Hamburg, a city built on international trade. As the son of a champion decathlete, Oliver gained early experience of different cultures when he traveled with his family to major athletics events throughout the world. This cosmopolitan upbringing left a deep impression on him.

 

After finishing school Oliver undertook vocational training at Nixdorf Computer AG, then the leading technology company in Europe. His training at Nixdorf focused on marketing and business administration.

 

During his subsequent two years of compulsory military service with NATO he received advanced language training as well as specialist instruction in cross-cultural communications.

 

His first position as an employee was back in Hamburg with the software company HLS GmbH. His responsibilities at HLS included overseeing the installation of its software at premises across Europe together with appropriate customer training, closing sales, and overseeing various marketing activities.

 

From 1990 he worked for Siemens AG. Initially he worked in Hamburg in the field, first as a sales representative, later as a sales manager. From 2000 he moved into international management at Siemens headquarters in Munich. Here he and his family soon came to recognize the many benefits, both professional and in terms of quality of life, that the Bavarian capital has to offer, and the city is now their permanent home.

 

The move to Munich set Oliver on a new professional course. His personal outlook had always tended more to the international, and now he was leading multinational teams, often with the support of major international consultancies such as McKinsey and Boston Consulting. He also now found himself traveling to all continents of the world to conduct business on behalf of Siemens.

 

While this new, purely international focus suited him personally, it also gave him an invaluable insight into the way different cultures operate and showed him what is required to be successful in them, both within and outside of business life.

 

In 2009 he took the decision to leave Siemens management and to use his considerable international experience and business knowledge to establish his own company, Beauty Corporation GmbH.

 

Through the influence of his wife, Renate, who was working as an authorized representative at one of the Germanys leading beauty industry companies, Oliver switched business fields and started specializing in strategic business development for companies in the cosmetics sector.

 

Oliver and his wife have a son and a daughter and live near Nymphenburg Palace in a leafy area in the west of Munich.

Beauty Corporation GmbH specializes in the import and the export of premium cosmetics products. This includes not only decorative cosmetics and care cosmetics but also specialist cosmetics, such as cosmetics involving skin-penetration procedures, as well as studio equipment and anti-aging supplements.

We are now expanding our activities to include the import of high-quality cosmetics products into the EU.

 

We support a growing number of premium manufacturers based in, among other regions, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia in their efforts to tap the EU as a sales market, with the German-speaking member states serving as the principal target markets. We help these manufacturers receive the correct permits for each market and we also identify suitable distribution channels for them. More generally, we ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible.
